Heyhouses Nursery

The Nursery School is an independent private day nursery with charitable status, specialising in the care of children aged from two years & six months to four. The nursery is managed by a board of trustees and the registered person is the Head teacher of the Primary School.

The specially designed building is situated in the grounds of the Junior School. We have a safe and secure outdoor area that overlooks Heyhouses C of E Primary School and links to the Reception playground. We enjoy very close links with the Primary School and St Anne’s Parish Church. We have access to the school hall and are regularly involved in activities which take place in the reception department.  At the end of the spring term the process of transition begins and takes place throughout the summer term to enable the change to be as smooth as possible.

The nursery had an Ofsted inspection in January 2016 and received 'outstanding' in all areas.

The children enjoy a very high standard of early years' education and care, where equality of opportunity allows children to develop their individual potential.

We have a specialist Early Years teacher who is assisted by an enthusiastic and committed team of staff.

You are very welcome to come and visit us any time. No appointment is necessary.
